Do not park your car on the roof level of a parking deck when a winter storm event is predicted. The roof level of each parking deck will typically be blocked off during and shortly after an ice or heavy snow event to prevent you from doing so. If you are parked in a surface lot, please consider moving your car to a lower level of a deck during the weather event to help make plowing easier after the storm. If a heavy snowfall is forecasted and time permits, PaTS may issue a notice prompting you to do so.

Exams will be rescheduled as necessary if adverse winter weather conditions warrant it. More information will be provided directly to you via your UNC Charlotte email address and through text message if there is a change in operating condition.

Yes. The residence halls will maintain normal operations.

If you are unable to make it to class, please contact your course instructor to discuss possible accommodations.

Residence Halls have back-up power for life/safety needs. Other buildings on campus with communal space do have generators that will allow us to feed and house students should the campus experience a loss of power.
