Thank you for your patience as OneIT worked to resolve this issue during such a critical time.
All testing is complete to ensure it is safe to resume single sign-on for Canvas. Service is now restored to campus.
More information about the outage is available on the vendor’s website.
For students:
- Logging in: You may log in to Canvas normally and complete any missing assignments.
- Assignment deadlines: If you had an assignment due during the outage that occurred between 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, and 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, please work directly with your faculty to arrange an extension if needed.
For faculty:
- Logging in: You may log in to Canvas normally.
- Grading deadline: The deadline for grade submission has been extended to noon on Tuesday, May 12.
- Assignment deadlines: You are asked to extend reasonable flexibility to any student who was unable to complete their assignment because of the Canvas outage between 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, and 1 p.m. Friday, May 8. Please communicate directly with your students about any necessary changes.
