If you have provided a cell phone number to the University for communication purposes, we will use it to send you a NinerAlert. You can update your information through Banner Self Service. For additional help, please see this ITS FAQ.
For Families of Enrolled Students
- Texting: Text is the best way to receive NinerAlerts. Texts are only sent in situations of imminent threat to campus or if there are operational changes (ex: classes canceled because of snow). You may sign up by sending a text message to 67283 with the keyword UNCCharlotteAlerts. Enrollment in text messages lasts for one year, and you may cancel at any time. - Email: Emails are sent in all alert situations, including automatic National Weather Service alerts. If you wish to receive NinerAlert emails, please complete this form. Your enrollment will last as long as your student is enrolled at the University.
