NinerAlert: University in Condition 2 Tuesday, Classes Remote

As a result of this weekend’s snow storm and its lingering effects, UNC Charlotte will remain in Condition 2 (suspended operations) until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Classes scheduled for Tuesday will continue remotely.

A decision about operations for Wednesday, Feb. 4, will be announced by noon, Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Some roadways and pathways have experienced refreezing overnight due to the extremely cold temperatures. Please continue to limit vehicle traffic on campus to allow crews to work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Regardless of your location, please monitor your local weather conditions carefully and exercise caution and good judgment when choosing to travel.

What does this mean for you?

Please do not drive on campus unless it is an absolute emergency. If you are not on campus, do not come to campus. Your cooperation is critical for crews to be able to clear the roads and allow emergency vehicles to respond if necessary.

Also, please review the important reminders below about sledding on campus. Do not sled on roadways, including Craver Road. This helps keep you safe and the roads clear for crews.

If you have an emergency, call 911 from a campus phone or 704-687-2200 from your cell phone.

Again, please do not travel by vehicle on campus. Your cooperation will help keep campus clear for emergency vehicles and essential personnel.

If you have an emergency, call 911 from a campus phone or 704-687-2200 from your cell phone.
