What does this mean for you?
All Students
- Classes and activities: All classes and campus activities are canceled from noon, Saturday, Jan. 24, through 11:59 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. There will be no remote instruction during this time.
Residential Students
- Residence halls and dining: Residence halls will remain open. Consolidated dining options will also be available based upon staffing and available supplies, including to-go options to be taken back to residence halls. Please monitor the dining services webpage for the most updated information on available food options. Safety tip: When walking to the dining halls or other areas of campus during the storm, make sure to wear warm clothes and appropriate footwear for the conditions (i.e. flat shoes with good grip).
- Travel home: It is possible the University will experience power outages as a result of the storm. Residence halls ONLY have emergency lighting to illuminate pathways to exits. If you are able and it is safe to do so, you are encouraged to return home for the weekend. Please note: The University is prepared to house and feed residential students even in the event of a power outage; however, you will likely be more comfortable if you are able to return home.
